The fundraiser, in aid of boating for persons with disabilities, is held and hosted by the Oakville Power Boat Club, 150 Water St. at 6 p.m. An Evening With Charterability fundraiser sets sail Saturday Health R U N "Connected to your Community" F O R W O M E N A night of food, drinks and music The fundraising evening features dinner, hors d'oeuvres and drinks from local restaurants and breweries and wineries. In addition, there will be music courtesy of Moonshine Café, featuring Shawn Brush, Fiona and Dale Roosien, and Mimico Bill, as well as a silent auction, raffle and 50/50 draw. Tickets cost $50 and can be purchased by calling 905-844-7208 or 647-457-0416, emailing sjc@CharterAbility.com or online at www.CharterAbility.com. Free boat rides will also be offered to ticket holders on the day from 2-6 p.m. Formed 13 years ago by Stephen Cull, CharterAbility provides an accessible boating experience for people with physical limitations or other personal challenges. With a fully-accessible dock on Sixteen Mile Creek, adjoined to Busby Park on Water Street, the organization operates two pontoon boats to take people along the creek and into a wildlife sanctuary in downtown Oakville. Trips are provided free of charge, courtesy of donations CharterAbility receives and the commitment of its volunteer boat operators.
