www.insideHALTON.com | OAKVILLE BEAVER | Thursday, June 30, 2016 | 8 Free shuttle bus service available from Burloak RioCAN Centre continued from p.5 tamy Homes, Tee Zone Driving Range, Willson International and 102.9 K-Lite to help offset some of the costs. Sargent said donation jugs will also be placed in Bronte Village for anyone wishing to make a donation and support the community event. Residents who are watching from home are invited to tune in to the 102.9 K-Lite radio station for a live simulcast to the fireworks. The fireworks will also be live-streamed on the Bronte Events Oakville Facebook Page at facebook.com/bronteevents. As in years past, residents are being encouraged to ride their bikes and park at the Willson International Bike Corral in the park or take advantage of the free shuttle bus service, which will run from 10:30 a.m.-11 p.m. from the Burloak RioCAN Centre (Wyecroft and Burloak roads) to Bronte Village. The pick up and drop off at Burloak RioCAN is near Home Outfitters. Last departure from RioCan to check out the fireworks show is at 9 p.m. Bronte Road, south of Lakeshore Road, will be closed from 7 a.m. until after the fireworks, however, condo residents and business owners on Bronte Road will be given access. Jones and Nelson streets will also be closed from Ontario Street to Marine Drive at 8 p.m. Lakeshore Road will be closed from Third Line through to Mississauga Street from 8-11:30 p.m. to accommodate expected crowds. The West Pier at Bronte Beach Park will be closed after 4 p.m. and the Main Pier in Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park will be closed after 5 p.m. Oakville Transit will be operating on a holiday schedule with service between 8 a.m.-8 p.m. The BIA advises residents there will be no Oakville Transit service operating after 8 p.m. to or from the event. Sargent said she hopes residents will come enjoy the spectacle and pack a little patience when it comes time for the celebrations to wind down at the end of the night. "There isn't a major event anywhere in the world that you can go to and expect to exit in five minutes, so we just ask for everyone's patience and stay in the great mood that you came with in the morning and everyone will get home safely," said Sargent.
