Enjoy berries on their own, add them to salads, breakfast cereal and yogurt or create delicious desserts like this trifle from the Ontario Berry Growers Association. Fresh Berry Trifle Ingredients · 2 cups vanilla wafers (about 45 wafers), broken into pieces · 2 tablespoons of fresh orange juice · 3 cups fresh Ontario berries · 2 packages of vanilla instant pudding · 3 cups cold milk · 1 package of white chocolate that has been melted · 3 cups thawed whipped topping, divided Directions 1. Place the broken wafers into a three litre glass serving dish and sprinkle with orange juice. Top with layers of the fresh berries. 2. Prepare the pudding mixes as directed on the package, reducing the milk to 3 cups. As pudding begins to thicken, beat in the white hocolate with wire whisk until well blended. Gently stir in 1-1/2 cups of the whipped topping and spoon evenly over the layer of berries. Top with the remaining 1-1/2 cups whipped topping and additional fresh berries for garnish. Cover until serving time. 3. Refrigerate completed dish for at least 30 minutes or overnight for the best finished product. 4. Serve and enjoy.
