The children's book by Brown, a.k.a. Suzie Sunshine, received accolades from the Indie Book Publishing Award Committee, recently. The awards are known as the "Sundance" of the book and publishing worlds, according to Catherine Goulet, chair of the 2016 Next Generation Indie Book Awards program. Baroque With Joy won in both the educational and children literature categories. Learning about classical music Brown's book teaches children about classical music. "Once I started researching the interesting tidbits of the classical composers' lives, I realized there were wonderful storylines to introduce classical music to the very young," Brown said. "Children are never too young to learn the classics. Moms and dads shouldn't wait until their child is six (years old)." Brown has been coaching and entertaining people of all ages, from toddlers to seniors, since the 1970s.
