B om just about eighty years ago, on the farm from which he was car ried to the Plains cemetery, he de veloped through his industry and his ambition to be useful, into one o f the strongest and most helpfully in fluential residents o f the entire community. Whether the need was in the municipalit" or in the wider demands o f th-' country or in the moral sphere c in the church, M r. Fisher was able ?nd ready to give his encouragement to all good move ments . A s r f a m s r U r . Fisher devel oped one o f the finest in the domin ion, many years ago adopting the growing o f fru it o f various kinds, with the result that the product in that line is now enorm ous. In his home, M r. Fisher (and M rs. Fisher, who passed away two years a g o), inspired a fam ily life that was fragrant with affection and cheer and so their daughter, Edith, and two sons, Paul and Mur ray, carry on in line with the will o f their devoted parents. The community gave expression to its sincere regard by attending in large numbers the funeral on Fri day, there being many present also from Hamilton, Toronto, Oakville, and other places. The funeral was conducted by R ev. E . Val Tilton, o f Trinity United church, Burling ton, assisted by R e v . H . B . Chris tie and R ev. W . T .
