If you're thinking of selling, it' s one of the things that your prospective buy ers will definitely look for when choosing your home over another. According to a recent poll conducted by Maritz Research, while a home seller ranked organized storage space at 20 per cent as one of the top three features of a home, 86 per cent of potential buyers ranked storage space a seven out of 10 as being the most important feature in a home. Buyers need to envision that there will be enough space for their belongings. You may want to minimize some of those pieces of fur niture in rooms - too much furniture and filled tabletops generally give the impression that a house is too small and doesn't have enough space. You can resolve this easily by the addition of some simple storage ideas. Whether it's the front closet or the garage, start packing and storing your things out of sight, which you will have to do eventually, so why not start now. Personal photos and albums should be boxed. Purge the clothes in closets and the laundry area and keep only what is necessary then pack the rest. You can find inexpensive storage systems in your local department store or storage specialty shops. Even minimize the number of throw rugs on the floor as again, this gives the impression of a squeezed room. Lastly, where do you put all these stored containers?
