This unique Oakville school trains Dog Guides in three pro grams: Canine Vision Canada, for people who are blind or visu ally impaired; Hearing Ear Dogs of Canada, for people who are deaf or hard o f hearing; and Special Skills Dogs of Canada, for people with physical and/or medical disabilities. The public is invited to tour the facility, watch demonstra tions of the three programs, talk to Dog Guide trainers, meet fos ter families and dogs from the Foster Puppy Program and learn about upcoming events such as the Walk for Dog Guides. Canadians from across the assist them with mobility, safety and independence. Since 1983, the lives of approximately 700 adults and children have been enriched by the services of spe cially trained dogs from Lions Foundation of Canada.
