A man, who was not driving a vehicle, walked up to the kiosk of the 24-hour Petro Canada gas station at 1007 Upper Middle Rd., just east of Eighth Line, around 4:20 a.m. Originally, police said the suspect was wearing a "Canada Goose" winter coat; however, it has now been determined to be a "Kangol" winter parka. Investigators say the suspect knocked on the locked door to the attendant' s small kiosk and was let in by the employee. Once inside, the suspect brandished a knife and demanded money. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of cash as well as cigarettes. The robber then ran eastbound through the Upper Oakville Shopping Centre. The culprit had his jacket' s hood up and a scarf around his face to conceal his identity. The attendant was not injured. The weapon is described as a four- to six-inch kitchen knife. The suspect is described as about 30 years old, five-foot-four with a thin build and light brown skin. He was wearing dark blue skinny jeans, a black Canada Goose jacket with a fur-lined hood, a grey patterned scarf with unknown let tering and dark-coloured footwear. Oakville Det. Bill Marshall said good quality video of the suspect is forthcoming in hope the public will be able to identify him. Anyone with information can contact Oakville Division' s Det.-Sgt. Andy Forde at 905 825-4747, ext. 2216, or Det. Mick Leighton, ext. 2218.
