Naturalist and storyteller Joe Paquette will be in attendance to bring the stories of the First Nations Peoples to life. On this special evening, you will get in touch with all your senses -- learn how to develop "deer ears," "eagle eyes," and a "fox walk." Test out your "deer ears" on a moccasin walk -- listen for critters that move in the night. In the village, listen to Paquette's stories, traditional teachings, and let Joe teach you how to start a fire the old way...fire by friction. Tantalize your tongue with First Nation foods and test your hand-eye co-ordination with tradition al games. After the games, relax and enjoy some of Nature's tasty teas and combread. Bring your own mug for the tea tasting. "Spirit Sings" takes place from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Call early to reserve your spot, as spaces are limited, 905-854-0234. The event fee is $15 per per son (includes GST, all materials, instruction, refreshments, and park admission fee). Crawford Lake is located at the comer of Guelph Line and Steeles Avenue, approximately 5 km south of Hwy. 401 and 15 km north of the QEW. A fter-the-R ain sale Sat.
