Romeo Dallaire at speaker series As part of its second annual speaker series, the Rotary Club of Oakville presents the Honourable Lt. General Romeo Dallaire on Monday, May 29 at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. The event begins at 6 :3 0 p.m. and includes wine, hors d'oeuvres and a thought-provoking presentation. Dallaire, a retired general, an award-winning author, former senator, lecturer, one of the world' s leading humanitarians, outstanding leaders and international champion of human rights, will speak about mental health and invisible wounds. Since his retirement from the military, Dallaire has worked to bring an understanding of post traumatic stress disorder to the general public. Tickets cost $55 each and all proceeds from the event will go toward local charities supported by the Rotary Club of Oakville, including the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital and international charities supported by the Rotary Club of Oakville and by Dallaire.
