Oakville Fire, Halton police and Halton EMS responded to a call that came in at 1 0 :1 8 a.m. of an injured construction w orker at a home on Postridge Drive and Dundas Street East. It is a residential neighbourhood under con struction. Oakville Fire said a male, approxim ately 50, fell about eight feet into a basem ent founda tion. Firefighters used a rescue tripod to extri cate the injured m an from the hole. "It wasn't a confined space. They ju st need ed people to get him out.
