The Board believes that this statement will provide the Chamber with direction for at least the next twelve months, and is the starting point for the development of a complete Strategic Plan. The Strategic Plan will not only outline the Chamber's fundamental objectives, but also a detailed action plan for achieving those objectives. With input from our Members, Committees and Staff, the Strategic Planning Committee will be examining how the elements of our mission statement relate to our Chamber activities. Where warranted, new or different activities will be recommended that are designed to achieve the Chamber's objectives of playing a leadership role and promoting innovation, growth and prosperity in our business community. The Committee plans to have a full draft of this Plan completed by December. In the meantime, we should each consider what the elements of the mission statement signify. For example, what does it mean to each of us to demonstrate leadership and innovation in terms of our participation as members of the Chamber, or of the Board, Committees, and staff? How are we contributing, and what are we achieving, in terms of the growth and prosperity of our Chamber Members? And do we mean business that embraces the spectrum from the large multi-national to the home-based entrepreneur, and everything m between? Thought provoking? I hope so. As I have said to the Board and Committee Chairs, I view the coming year as one of transition to meet the challenges of the 21st century. Many of you have indicated a desire to see change occur. Thus, I invite all of you to become partners in the changes as we move forward. Please ensure that your thoughts and ideas are shared with Margaret Yokes, the Chair of our Strategic Planning Committee, or me. 9 4 "Serving Halton for over 20 years" TROPHIES LIMITED 775 Pacific Rd., Unit 26 «=4> CORPORATE A W AR D S «=£> AC A D EM IC A W A R D S =T> SPO R TS A W AR D S *=^> PLAQ UES & M ED A LLIO N S «=S> S U B LIM A TED P R IN TIN G ON PLAQ UES & NAM E BADGES O ENG R A VIN G ON GLASS STEIN S & MUGS 9 0 5 .844.1018 High Quality Large Format Digital Printing* for All Your Needs: · · Posters & Banners Trad e S h o w G raphics · Floor G raphics · Vehicle G raphics '1 440 DPI tor photographic clarity 9 0 5 -8 4 7 -1 9 5 6 Corporate fit Commercial J X- Increii lo w / W hatever your needs: · Advertising & · Site & Promotions B u§M E U E N T S C H E D li N ovem ber 2000 *8 Business After Hours sponsored by Hie Enterprise Centre & Arnold's Funland Entertainment Time 5-7 p.m. Location: Arnold's Funkmd (485 Morden Rd.)
