The event, which will be hosted at the YMCA of Oakville at 410 Rebecca St., goes from 6 to 8 p.m. A journey over 1,000 years During the event, Aglukark will take people on a journey of the last 1,000 years of Canadian Inuit history, sharing with the strength and resiliency of indigenous peoples living through adversity and change. As Canadians embrace Canada's 150th, OCF recognizes the history and culture of First Nations, Metis and Inuit. Light refreshments will be served from 6 to 6:30 p.m. Aglukark performs from 7:30 to 8 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session and community partner showcase. This event is the second in a series pre sented by OCF Next events in the series are: Oct. 4 -- Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women; Nov. 6 -- Treaty Week; and, Nov. 23 -- YMCA Community Breakfast for Peace.
