Late in the match Toronto Skillz' Andre Simmond and Adam Waithe were red-carded for violent conduct. "It' s difficult," W ilde said. "We are two teams that are at opposite ends of the table and w e dealt with that frustration a bit last year," he added. "It gets frustrating w hen you 're not getting your points but you just try and give the right advice to your players and hope they are lis tening to you ." Toronto Skillz are still without a point and in last place in the East Division after 11 matches, but head coach Leslie "Tiger" Fitz patrick said results are not the first order of priority for the organization. Oakville players looking forward to second half of exchange in Attawapiskat continued from p. 37 The three games they played Sat urday and Sunday at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex were streamed on Facebook Live so families in Attawapiskat could watch. After Saturday' s games, the players w ent shopping at Oakville Place -- w hich gave each of the Attawapiskat players a $100 gift card. "That was a lot of fun," said Antonio Bevilacqua, a goalie in the Minor Oaks house league. "They don't have a lot of stores up there so it was fun helping them choose things they can't get. They got shoes and clothes and som e got new cages for their helmet. They were very happy. Their faces lit up." Heddle said she wants to have Hockey Cares registered as a charity so that similar exchanges can take place across the country. Last weekend represented only the first half of the exchange. The Oakville players w ill travel to At tawapiskat in November. "I'm excited to play hockey up there and see what their experi ence is like, because it' s a lot dif ferent because they're so isolat ed," said Bevilacqua, 14. "They hunt and they ice fish, and I'm excited to try that." In the meantime, Heddle hopes to see the relationships built this weekend grow in the com ing months. Bevilacqua said he has already been in touch with some of the players through social media since they returned home. "We don't want (the kids) to get hom e, get into their daily routines and forget," she said. "It' s important for us to keep the spirit up, keep them connected." But for Heddle, this weekend w ill be hard to forget. "One of the players, Junior (Jacasum), was a bit of a rascal," she said. "On the last day, he said to me, `Mama Sue, I'm going to m iss you.' It almost broke my heart."
