After suffering a pair of back-to-back losses, the Bruins wasted little time building a lead as Ameyaw and Santos scored in the first 10 minutes. "We needed that," Bruins' asSHER1D AN sistant coach Robert Stillo said. "1 BRU IN S think after the last couple of gam es and having a week in between, we were hungry, and that showed today." Sheridan doubled that advantage to 4-0 by the half on Ameyaw's second goal and a m arker by Reshaun Walkes. In the second half, Kameron Crichlow converted Santos' corner kick and Ivan Cutura headed in a San tos cross. Luis Mejia turned aside a second-half penalty kick to record his first clean sheet of the season. The win improved Sheridan to 5-3 this season, good for third in the Ontario Colleges Athletic As sociation's Central Division. The game, the Joe Luciani Bowl, was the first in what organiz ers plan as an annual event in memory of the former coach and administrator at both Notre Dame and Aquinas. Luciani died in August.
