DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF BOTH SUBMISSIONS will be no later than 12:00 noon, local time on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 30,1999 LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED SCOPE OF WORK - PROJECT "A" THE OAKVILLE MUNICIPAL BUILDING CONSOLIDATION PREQUALIFICATION-3-99 The Town of Oakville intends to construct a two storey addition to the south side of the existing Town Hall at 1225 Trafalgar Road. Gross floor area will be about 6,700m1 (72,000 ftJ). The building shall comply with OBC 3.2.2.51, Group D up to 6 storeys, sprinklered, noncombustible construction, 1 hr floors and structure. The addition will be joined to the existing building by a two storey skylight glazed atrium. The Town has already entered into a contract to 1) prepare the site for the construction of the proposed addition, 2) install new underground services required for the proposed addition and 3) provide new parking areas/roadways and associated services. The scope of the work for this tender will be for the construction of the building addition, from foundation to roof, inclusive of interior finishes, plus renovations and alterations to the existing building. The anticipated construction of the addition is steel frame with precast wall panels and strip windows. The atrium will be fully glazed with translucent insulated panels. Level of interior finishes to match the existing Town Hall Building. SCOPE OF WORK - PROJECT "B" THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE TOWN OF OAKVILLE PUBLIC WORKS/PARKS OPERATIONS FACILITY PREQUALIFICATION-8-99 The Town of Oakville intends to construct a new Public Works/Parks Operations Facility on the existing Parks Central Depot site at 1135 South Service Road. The proposed facility will consist of approximately 2,177 square metres of Office, 7164 square metres of the Fleet Garage, Stores, Workshops and Operations Garage. The existing pre-engineered buildings, (836 square metres) will be renovated and expanded. A new (1,100 square metre) unheated pre-engineered Vehicle and Equipment Storage Garage is also to be constructed on site. Siteworks will include a paved employee parking lot for 180 cars, paved and gravel storage yard for equipment and materials, and a weigh scale for control of granular material inventory.
