The following children's activities will be offered from 10 a.m. to 12 noon: Thursday is Cookie Decorating Day. Children can join the staff at IGA for cookie decorating; Friday is Doggie Days and Join the Parade Day. Come and see the Dog Guides from the Lions Foundation of Canada. Wear your Halloween cos tume and join the parade through the mall; Saturday is Magic Day. Magician Owen Anderson will con duct a 45-minute show followed by 45 minutes of balloon sculpting for the children in Centre Court. Pre-registration required at Centre Court. Limited capacity. On Sunday, a retail merchants pumkin carving contest is at 2 p.m. Small treats will be available for pre schoolers. a.m. to 3 p.m. this Halloween week end. Tour a haunted house or visit the farm animals in the spooky bam. They can alsq join the great pumpkin challenge or the spider hunt around the farm. Pumpkins from the pump kin patch and bunches of com stalks will be available for sale with pro ceeds to the United Way. The chil dren's play bam and Natural Cafe will also be open. Special activities include: Free horse drawn wagon rides on Sundays only from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Family Games, Saturday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Sack races, costume parade, pumpkin seed spitting and more. A different event each hour. Winners announced after each event. Pumpkin Carving Contest, Sunday, 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.: Buy a pumpkin and carve it to win a prize in the annual pumpkin carving contest. Entries will be judged for the scariest, funniest and most unique pumpkin in age-group categories (7-10,11 -15,15 and up, and family). Bring your own carving tools. TINY TOTS PARADE The Ninth Annual Tiny Tots on Parade takes place this Friday in downtown Oakville. The annual costumed "trick or treat" parade through downtown Oakville is open to all toddlers and pre-school children. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Parade festivities begin at 1 p.m. in the Towne Square where Daisy the Witch will welcome the tiny tots to downtown Oakville's Halloween cel ebration. She will be joined by McGruff the Safety Dog from the Halton Regional Police and DOBI the downtown bear. Upon arrival in Towne Square, children will receive a "trick or treat" route. Participating stores will have an orange pumpkin poster in the store window. For more information call 844-4520. On Saturday, boys and girls can enjoy the 'Creature Feature' with creepy creature crafts and the Little Boxes of Horror at the Old Post Office. Enjoy traditional games with a holiday twist, play "Pin the Ghost on the Haunted House." On Sunday children are invited to dress up in their Hallowe'en cos tumes and enjoy an early start to their Trick or Treat fun. Sunday activities include spooky games and fishing for apples; adventurous children can go on a ghost hunt or listen to spooky stories at the Old Post Office. HALLOWEEN ACTIVITIES AT OAKVILLE PLACE Over the years, Oakville Place has offered kids an opportunity to experi ence Halloween at the shopping cen tre, by inviting children to wander from store to store, trick and treating. This year, Oakville Place has a line-up of Halloween activities for pre-schoolers prior to Halloween.
