So much so, that it car ries over unchanged for 2000. The seven-passenger Odyssey is the largest pas senger vehicle that Honda has ever built. Power is delivered by a 3.5-litre SOHC 24-valve V6 capable of 210 horsepower. A four-speed automatic transmission completes the power package. The Odyssey is available in two trim levels: base LX and better-equipped EX. Standard equipment on the LX includes air conditioning, dual-sliding rear doors and ABS. The EX adds dual power sliding rear doors, eight way power driver's seat, CD-equipped sound system with steering wheel-mounted controls, climate control, alloy wheels and traction control. Size-wise, the Odyssey is very close to Chrysler's line of extended-length minivans. The Focus is one of Ford's 'world' vehicles that was orig inally developed in Europe where it has been available for some time. Focus is a five-passenger entry-level car available as a four-door sedan and wagon, as well as a striking two-door hatchback. All models are built significantly taller and a bit narrow er than the Escort and feature considerably more interior room for both passengers and luggage. Standard power in the Focus LX and SE sedans is a 2.0litre SOHC engine borrowed from the Escort that produces 110 horsepower. Optional on both models, but standard in the SE wagon ZTS sedan and ZX3 hatchback, is a 2.0-litre DOHC pow erplant from the now extinct Ford Countour/Mercury Mystique that raises output to 130 hp. The Focus can be ordered with a five-speed manual or optional four-speed automatic transmission. As was with the Escort, the Focus can be outfitted with a number of option packages that will get you to 'full-load' status in no time flat.
