Shaarei Beth-El Synagogue on Morrison Road welcomed the Halton community to participate in the second night of Channuka on Dec. 13. The lighting of the menorah celebration was accompanied by festivities and food. Local politicians also took part. Ontario Minister of Labour and Oakville MPP Kevin Flynn, Oakville Mayor Rob Burton, Ward 6 Council lor Tom Adams, Halton police and other dignitaries light the candle on the menorah. Jan, Paul, Michael and Sarah Espanyo came out to the celebration. They were invited by their neighbour Dr. Marion Sternbach. Jennifer Burman serves latkes.
