"It was a good job. We were treated well," said Butko through broken English. Butko came to Canada in 1981 and eventuâ€" ally established the National Circus School of Canada in Toronto where students are taught the art of juggling, acrobatics, balancing, clowning skills and unicycle riding. Butko would like to create an offshoot of the school in Oakville under the name Children‘s Circus Theatre and he is currently accepting students over the age of five to attend classes Thursday evenings between 6 and 8 p.m. at Glen Abbey Recreation Centre.
