Golf tourney Entry fee is $150 per golfer and women are encouraged to join in the tournament to be held on Wed. Aug. 17th. All proceeds for the event go to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. The organization for the event this year, has been handed over to the Royal Bank Group of Companies under tournament chairâ€" man Mike Pratt of Royal Trust. Assisting in the work are Colin Ballance, Bill McLean, Donise Beriault and Karen Mulligan of the Royal Bank along with Alun Phillips of Securities. Once again the Wyldewood Golf Club has donated use of the course for the day and this year, Silliker Laboratories of Canada have joined the Royal Group of Companies as major sponsors. Their contribution will help defray the cost of the golf dinner enabling more money to go directly to OTMH. This year, the estimated $30,000 to be raised by the tourney, will go to help fund part of an $80,000 roof terrace at the hospital. One of the big attractions at the tournament this year, is the prize of a 1995 Oakvilleâ€"built Ford Windstar to the golfer who aces the seventh hole during the tourney. The van is courtesy of Oakâ€"Land Lincoln Mercury. There‘s also time for other major sponsors to help out along with those companies and individuals who wish to make a prize or cash donation or sponsor a hole.
