First up is the romantic comedy Sleepless In Seattle starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. A lonely Seattle widower becomes the obsesâ€" sion of a young Baltimore reporter after she hears him talking about his late wife on a radio callâ€"in program. (Rated PG) Bob Hoskins, Dennis Hopper, and Samantha Mathis star in the action adventure Super Mario Bros. which is based on the megaâ€" hit videogame of the same name. Two plumbers embark on a brave There are many reasons why someâ€" one will choose a cruise vacation and why they do it again and again. For many of our customers, it was the serâ€" vice that was appreciated and the ‘relaxâ€" ing, carefree‘ nature of the cruise experiâ€" ence. One feature of many ships that conâ€" tributes to a great cruise experience is the ship‘s library. A great deal of planâ€" ning and research goes into each library installation. An organization called Ocean Books, based in England, has installed over 30 libraries on cruise ships. Each ship is approached on a very individualistic basis, depending on pasâ€" senger profile, ship size, itineraries, onboard activities, and budget. Ideally, there should be something in the library for every passenger. Having just recently returned from a cruise on the "Queen Elizabeth 2," I had the pleasure of enjoying the resources of the largest library afloat â€" the 6,000 volume QE2 library. One of my interests is the period from 1900 â€" 1930 and the growth era of the Transatlantic Ocean Liners. June was able to direct me to an excellent section on my subject. Libraries range in size from 200 volâ€" umes on the small sailing ships up to the QE2 library that would do credit to a city of 10,000 people. Ships that have programs catering to families may have an excellent chilâ€" dren‘s library. Some ships have VCR‘s in your cabins and have large videoâ€"casâ€" sette lending libraries for your inâ€"cabin enjoyment. The QE2‘s very popular library is so comfortable. It‘s always busy and could use an expansion. Fortunately, the wide. death at an early age contributed to his legend. One of the more fascinating libraries is on Holland America‘s new "Statendam" which has over $20,000 in reference books alone â€" Encyclopedia Britannica, atlases, dictionaries, lanâ€" guage books, art, and travel references. Some of the more beautiful libraries would include the Ibsen Library on the "Norway" and the three spacious libraries on Royal Caribbean‘s "Sovereign, Monarch, and Majesty of the Seas".
