Blue Devils sag It was a below par perforâ€" mance by an Oakville squad that could not recapture the type of play it produced to win the Ontario Cup. Only a very few Oakville playâ€" ers rose to the occasion, one being Ed McMillan who had a brilliant game at striker. One of his goals was scored from the halfway line, catching the Pickering goalie by surprise. Another was a brilliant individual effort, running through half the Pickering defence before scoring in the bottom corner. The provincial champion Oakville Blue Devils closed out their outdoor season on a less than impressive note, dropping their Ontario Youth Soccer League semiâ€"final match 4â€"3 to Pickering. Pickering‘s Chris Stewart headed in the winning goal in the last minute of play. Niki Budalich picked up the other goal. "It was a superb season for the Oakville team," commented coach Phil Iafrate. The Minor Oaks Hockey Association (MOHA) will hold a quarterly meeting this Tuesday (Oct. 25), 7 p.m., at Glen Abbey Recreation Centre. Amendments to the constitution are available for pickâ€"up at the MOHA office. The Blue Devils won the Ontario Cup and finished first atop the Ontario Youth Soccer League. They won tournaments in Guelph, Waterloo and Kitchener and were runners up in East York and at the Scarborough Robbie.
