Calorad® Notes from Maria Kinlough o f " The P e rfe c t B o d y" Hi Everyone! Some people have commented that no one has heard from me in a while. Well, I guess it's because I'm having so much fun. Am I still taking Calorad and the other wonderful supplements that I sell? You bet I am! My clients and I are having a great time. Life is an exciting adventure when you feel energized and you are able to wear the clothes you like. My personal training guru, Dirk Gebhardt said and I quote "I might be able to tire out Maria's muscles temporarily but her energy remains at a high level!" Do you have enough energy to work all day and then go out at night and enjoy yourself? If you have answered no to either of these questions please give me a call. This is not pie in the sky advertising. I could not sell these products unless I truly believed in their effectiveness and used them myself. By the way Spring Cleaning is not just for the home anymore. I have a fabulous herbal colon cleanser that will have you singing "I feel good". Nearly 30 people were on hand at Glen Abbey Recreation Centre recently to kick off of a new program designed to help citizens with lung disease and chron ic breathing problems become more active. The Air Forcers, as they call themselves, are all grad uates of a pilot program set up at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital under the management of respirologist Dr. Laurence Chau. The group will meet there every Tuesday afternoon from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sandra Bates, co-ordina tor of the Respiratory Rehabilitation Program at OTMH, and a staff physio therapist, was a prime mover in launching The Air Forcers It became clear to her, after doing many three- month follow ups, that a number of people who had made great headway while in the program were not maintaining their progress once it was over. She, along with a number of graduates, felt the answer lay in devel oping a community based program that mirrored the OTMH model. It all came together when Bates, with a committee of graduates, pitched the idea to staff at the Glen Abbey Recreation Centre. Bates trained them to oversee the program. The Parkwoods Rotary Club in Toronto is funding the first year of the program, thinks to the efforts of Shirley and Ken Lockett. (Shirley Lockett is a graduate of the hospital program.) Ludlow Medical Supplies donated a walker. The Oakville Civitan Club gave $1,500 towards the purchase of an oximeter, (to measure blood oxygen lev els and pulse rate,) thanks to Civitan Wayne Van Exan, another graduate. The Glen Abbey staff welcomed the opportunity to participate because of their community outreach programming phi losophy. For more information about The Air Forcers, call Wayne Van Exan at 845- 0322, or Anita Weiseneder at the Glen Abbey Recreation Centre, 815-5950.
