Service, value and good advice to grow on. A simple phrase, but one that has governed the approach to business for The Original Garden Centre since1974. Some 25 years ago, the Sanson fami ly started The Original Garden Centre, which has prospered to become a thriv ing 10-acre garden centre business, locat ed on Hwy. 5 between Eighth and Ninth lines in Oakville, readily identified by numerous Canadian flags along the front entrance. What was true in 1974 is even more so now, as customers have become more educated and conscious of quality and value in both product and service. The staff of The Original Garden Centre has also grown to a core of 12 dedicated spe cialists and more than 70 staff employed during the spring of 1999. Clearly, the market leader, The Original Garden Centre, the largest cen tre in Mississauga and Oakville, endeav ours to continually introduce new prod ucts and initiate trends to increase its leading market share in a highly compet itive industry. Pioneering "the one stop garden shop ping centre" theme, The Original Garden Centre has consistently expanded its product line to provide to its customers the widest diversity of products avail able. "Part of my responsibility to our cus tomers and business is to evaluate new products, by attending trade shows all over the world and by making personal visits to all of our contract nursery, peren nial and annual growers on a regular basis to insure that we have the very best nursery and plant stock available on the market," said Brad Sanson. A landscape design for your home is no problem at The Original Garden Centre, and best of all... it's free. The Original Garden Centre has developed a "Landscape Kit" which allows cus tomers to quickly sketch the area, answer a few questions about their plant prefer ences, include several snapshots, and the rest is up to us. Just ask for one of the res ident nursery specialists -- be it Larry, Tara, Pam, Tanya, Suzanne or Lyles to name a few. Anyone of them will be happy to offer their suggestions. Anytime you have a lawn or gardening problem, feel free to visit for some expert advice and allow Monique, Sarah or Lyles, in our nursery, annuals or perennials depart ments to assist you. If it's Water Gardens, ponds, pools or statuary you want, just ask for Susan, Laura-Lee, Andrew, Cheryl, Jay or Matt -- the staff are always available to sug gest fresh ideas.
