The problem in Halton is more hidden than it is in other urban areas. Any In digenous person who sleeps outside in a car, stays with friends or relatives or travels outside Halton for shelter is considered to be homeless. HCLS needs the knowl edge, wisdom and shared experiences to guide them in designing a community action plan that will help Indigenous homeless peo ple in Halton. Sage or sweetgrass and a snack and small honorari um will be provided for those who come forward. Anyone who is or knows an Indigenous person with those experiences or wants to learn more about becom ing involved in the Indige nous Homelessness Needs Assessment and Knowl edge Sharing project, is asked to contact Amanda, the Indigenous Homeless ness Project Team, at 905 875-2069 or email halton- consult@lao.on.ca.
