"Help!" he yelled. "I'm trapped inside my room!" "What do you mean trapped?" "Well, I see three doors," the man explained. "The first one opens to a closet, the second to a bathroom, and the third door has a DO NOT DISTURB sign hang ing on it." This is a typical joke, but what does the word joke really mean? A joke is defined in Webster's Dictionary as "Something said or done to cause laughter, such as a brief story with a punch line; something not taken seriously." "A joke is something that makes you feel good inside and makes you laugh with out hurting your feelings," said Cathy Maydanski. A teacher at River Oaks Public School also said, "A joke is a brief story that gives humour and makes life fun!" A splatter o f paint yields excellence By Malcolm A.
