The Gretzky collection is for today's modem man who looks for a corporate casual wardrobe with contemporary comfort and style at a moderate price. The new spring line is now available and includes sports jackets, dress pants, shirts, light sweaters and knit shirts presented in classic spring interpretations. "This collection reflects exactly what I personally look for in a wardrobe," said Wayne Gretzky. "I wear these clothes myself and they feel good and look good. We wanted to offer spring colours that everyone would be comfortable wearing so you will find basic blues, whites and tans through out. It makes it easy to go shopping." The new spring collection is the second Gretzky line of clothing designed in consultation with the hockey great. The debut line was a fall collection that premiered in September of last year. Eighty- one Bay stores carry the collection, with 50 of the stores displaying the line in Gretzky boutique shops. " I have really been thrilled with our part nership with the Bay," continued Gretzky. "It's been a lot of fun." 'W e wanted to create a spring line that meets the needs of today's busy young executive with stylish yet uncomplicated clothing," commented the Bay's Christophe Doussot, Gretzky collection designer. W e have designed a transitional collection that takes him from spring to early summer in micorfibres, linens, silks and tropical, all-season wools." "The Bay is generously donating $1 from each clothing item sold from my collection to PEBBLES, a wonderful new technology program that links a hospitalized child into a classroom and allows them to interact with their classmates and teacher," said Gretzky. "Our goal is to be able to fund the placement of a PEBBLES sys tem in each children's hospital in Canada. We already have one unit operating in the dialysis unit of Sick Kids in Toronto and the next unit will be placed in BC Children's Hospital in Vancouver." A large selection of the spring Gretzky collection is now available at the Bay, Oakville Place.
