Reach highly targeted, engaged couples and wedding planners. Superfire, a Burlington- based band, will celebrate 10 years of rocking with a free concert at Oakville's Black Box Theatre this Sat- urday (June 2). The special needs band will perform at 7 p.m. with guest musicians. The band formed a de- cade ago to break down barriers by showing people with disabilities can still showcase their talent with accessible, energetic live performances. The Black Box Theatre is located at the Queen Eliz- abeth Park Community Centre at 2302 Bridge Rd. in Oakville. Lead singer Taylor Ar- beau said that people soon realize that disability doesn't hinder the band's performance. "Superfire is no ordi- nary band," she said "We all have a disability, but when people hear us play, they recognize our talent. We want to show the world that we have a place on any stage and help to teach oth- ers to focus on ability and talent, not some label."
