Police arrested one man in connection with the inci- dent that occurred at the Kerr Street Pub & Grill shortly after 9:30 p.m. A physical altercation between two men occurred but both left the scene be- fore the arrival of police. The victim was alleged- ly stabbed multiple times- , went to an area hospital and was treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Police located a suspect in Burlington early Satur- day (Sept. 8). He was arrest- ed and held in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled for Sunday. Charged with attempted murder is Joshua Paul Thevenin, 22. STABBING AT PUB LEADS TO ATTEMPTED MURDER CHARGE KEVIN NAGEL knagel@metroland.com NEWS A man who allegedly robbed an Oakville phar- macy of a quantity of drugs last month has been arrest- ed and charged, according to Halton Regional Police. The man entered the Shoppers Drug Mart at 550 Kerr St. on Aug. 26 and handed a note to a pharma- cist demanding a large quantity of drugs. The pharmacist provid- ed an undisclosed amount of methadone and the sus- pect fled the store. Following an investiga- tion, Justin Howitt, 31, of Oakville was arrested Sept. 6 and charged with rob- bery, disguise with intent, fail to comply with recogni- zance, fail to comply with undertaking and two counts of breach of proba- tion.
