FREEDOM TRAIN TO ROCK OUT IN SUPPORT OF OAKVILLE ACCESSIBLE BOATING PROGRAM COMMUNITY Two Oakville artists are among the 25 who are part of the 19th annual Lakeshore Art Trail in Mississauga Oct. 13-14. The free show and sale fea- tures artists exhibiting and sell- ing their works at 15 locations in Clarkson and Port Credit. The pieces are in a variety of media - including oil, watercolour, acryl- ic, graphite and mixed media, among others - while the venues include some of the participating artists' home studios as well as businesses. Oakville's Adriana Rinaldi (lo- cation seven) and Angela Lips- combe (location four) are among the artists. Rinaldi is an oil and acrylic painter who takes a close, inti- mate look at nature. She's fasci- nated by the shapes of plants, leaves, pods, branches and twigs. Lipscombe is an acrylic, mixed media, oil, printmaking and watercolour artist. Not only does she paint works of art that have been in numerous galleries and juried exhibitions over the years, Lipscombe has also de- signed and executed murals for schools in Mississauga and Oak- ville. She also offers art classes and workshops in her home and at various venues in the Halton area. At the Lakeshore Art Trail, at- tendees have a chance to peruse the works and chat with the art- ists. There are also art giveaways at each location. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. However, not all venues are open the same hours, so those interested can visit www.lakeshorearttrail.com to confirm the times.
