Halton police are looking for two sus- pects after two iPhones valued at $2,900 were stolen from an Oakville Best Buy on Oct. 27. At around 4:15 p.m., two men entered the 2500 Winston Park Dr. store and went to the iPhone area. Police allege one individual grabbed two iPhone XS products and sprinted out of the store, snapping the security cable the iPhones were attached with to a table in the process. Both stolen iPhones are demo iPhones and will be blacklisted by the CRTC (Cana- dian Radio-television and Telecommunica- tions Commission), meaning the devices can't be used as phones. Police are reminding residents to be wary of any product offered for sale at cheap prices on the street or at online sites such as Kijiji and to ensure the device is in full work- ing order before money is exchanged. The first suspect is described as white, in his early 20s, six feet tall, approximately 160 pounds. He wore a red hoodie with white lettering in front, grey track pants and black and white running shoes. The second individual is described as black, in his early 20s, six feet tall, approxi- mately 160 pounds. He wore a black hoodie with white letter- ing in front, black pants and white running shoes.
