Postal striKe! Oakville's Towne Square was aglow with its unofficial kickoff to the holiday season Friday evening. More than a thousand residents - as well as Mayor Rob Burton and Santa himself - took in the annual Downtown Oakville Tree Lighting Ceremony. The massive Douglas fir was decorated with roughly 140 strands of lights. The evening included live entertainment, carolling and a pop-up Christmas market.
