James Scordino attended Milton court on Monday, Feb. 11 and pleaded not guiltyFeb. 11 and pleaded not guiltyF to the first-degree murder of Angela Skorulski. Clad in a dark suit and white dress shirt, Scordino affirmed to the court that he was ready for his trial to be- gin. Skorulski's lifeless body was found in her 205 Lake- shore Rd., W., condominium complex on March 8, 2017; it is alleged that she was shot at some point between Feb. 13, 2017 and March 8, 2017 and died of her injuries at the scene. A police investigation re- sulted in Scordino's arrest on April 12, 2017 in Missis- sauga. Police have previously said Skorulski and Scordino were known to each other. The Monday, Feb. 11 court proceedings in Milton con- cluded with the selection of the jury for the trial - that ju- ry is made up of six men and six women. The trial is expected to last four weeks. On Feb. 11 Crown attor- ney Amy Stevenson re- vealed a witness list of 46 people, but said that she doesn't expect to call all of them. Defense Lawyer Ari Goldkind will represent Scordino. At around 8 p.m., a wom- an entered the 2460 Win- ston Churchill Blvd. busi- ness and selected a blue women's winter jacket. Police allege she took the jacket from the store making no attempt to pay. The coat is valued at $129. The woman is described as white, in her 30s, five- foot-six, 110 pounds with long red wavy hair pulled back into a pony tail and dark eyebrows. She wore black winter boots, black leggings and a black winter coat with a gold zipper.
