The company has called Oakville home since the year 2000 but left its 36,000- square-foot building in May, following consider- able growth which saw Ge- otab increase from 500 em- ployees in December 2018 to around 1,200 employees currently. Its new 90,000-square- foot headquarters is locat- ed at 2440 Winston Park Dr. Geotab manufactures and sells fleet management software and GPS vehicle- tracking devices capable of providing not only highly accurate information on vehicle location, ignition, trip distance and time, en- gine idling and speed, but also information on the health of the vehicle's en- gine and battery so clients can prioritize mainte- nance. The device can also pro- vide collision detection and notification. The Geotab website boasts it currently has more than 1.5 million GPS tracking devices in opera- tion.
