On Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 8 p.m., a masked man en- tered an Oakville variety store on Winston Churchill Boulevard, near Royal Windsor Drive, and pulled aWindsor Drive, and pulled aW knife. Police said the individual walked behind the employ- ee counter and demanded cash. The employee handed over an undisclosed amount of money, at which point the suspect fled the store. A short time later, at 9:10 p.m., police say the same in- dividual entered a Burling- ton corner store on Lake- shore Road, near Brant Street, pulled a knife and de- manded cash and cigars. The man fled the scene after the employee complied. The robbery spree con- tinued at 9:55 p.m., when po- lice said the same knife- wielding man entered a va- riety store on Brant Street, near Plains Road East, in Burlington. Officers said the suspect threatened an employee with a knife and demanded cash and cigars. The employee handed over these items. The robber also grabbed a couple of glass bongs on his way out of the store. No one was injured dur- ing any of these robberies. The suspect is described as black, approximately 20 years old with a slim build, and about five-foot-seven.
