WithnoshorelineprotectionatShorewoodPromenade and deterioration of current shoreline protection at Holyrood Park, shoreline conditions have been made worse following the high lake level conditions in 2017 and this past year in 2019. Shoreline construction at both sites is tentatively planned in 2021. Please note that all shoreline improvements at Shorewood Promenade will follow a Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks Class EA Process. For background information on these shoreline sites, the town's recent Shoreline Inventory Report is available on the town's website at oakville.ca. A Public Information Centre (PIC) is being planned to discuss issues related to these projects, including alternative solutions, evaluation criteria, environmental impacts and mitigation measures. A PIC date and details will be advertised as the study progresses. Comments invited The town appreciates your feedback and encourages you to get involved. A key component of the study is consultation with interested stakeholders, the public, landowners and regulatory agencies. You are encouraged to provide your comments so that they may be considered in the study.
