Under the banner of Future Majority, a millennial-based, non-partisan, grass- roots organization, hundreds of young Ca- nadians are organizing online town halls with MPs, MPPs and mayors to seek action on a variety of issues. One of those online town halls will be held for Oakville youth Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. with Oakville North-Burlington MP Pam Damoff. Future Majority wants to ensure the voices of young Canadians are heard and Canadian politicians act for a green and just recovery for all in a post-COVID-19 world, said Jessica Burton, communica- tions lead, Oakville riding, Future Major- ity. "Secure jobs, affordable education, cli- mate action and mental health need to be on our MPs' radar, and they need to hear about it from people our age who are living through it," said Burton. Future Majority representatives will present a petition signed by young Canadi- ans to local MPs during town halls. To add your name to the petition, go to www.futu- remajority.majoritylabs.co/act/oakvil- legjr. To join the conversation, visit www.fu- turemajority.ca.
