Hurry, offer ends Dec. 31, 2020 Let's Get Quizzical, a "FUN-raising" vir- tual trivia night for three area hospitals, will be held again Monday, Nov. 30 at 7:30 p.m. Proceeds from the joint effort between Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, Jo- seph Brant Hospital and Juravinski Can- cer Centre will go toward medical equip- ment. The evening will be hosted by Matthew Surina of Hub of the Hammer Event Man- agement and Les Bell, director of the Ken Bradwell Soccer Tournament and former president of the Burlington Soccer League. Individuals and families can partici- pate in the game, with points awarded based on the right answer and the time tak- en to submit it. To register for the event, go to www.eventbrite.ca/e/lets-get-quizzical- tickets-118577234701?aff=ebdssbonline- search. The virtual trivia quiz replaces the Ken Bradwell Soccer Tournament, which sup- ports all three hospitals, but was not played this year due to the pandemic. Tournament volunteers were inspired by similar online trivia games organized by volunteers with the Sian Bradwell Fund for Children with Cancer, to replace the 32nd-annual Sian Bradwell Softball Tour- nament in Montreal. This softball tournament, which sup- ports Montreal Children's Hospital, Sick- Kids and McMaster Children's Hospital, is held in memory of Bradwell's daughter who died of cancer in 1986 at 17 months of age. Bradwell, a longtime player and man- ager with the Burlington Soccer Club, who was posthumously awarded a Meritorious Service Medal, passed away in 2016 at the age of 64. LET'S GET QUIZZICAL ROUND TWO A cheque with proceeds from April's Trivia Night is accepted by (from left) Nicole Briguglio (Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital); Vanessa Sheppard (Juravinski Cancer Centre) and Nicole Boncheff (Joseph Brant Hospital).
