With her daughters by her side Jeannine passed away peacefully at home as per her wishes, on February 11, 2021. Our mother, affectionately known as "Pal" has joined her loving husband of 54 years, Milt. She is survived by her son Michael (Margaret) and her daughters Sharon and Lorraine as well as her grandchildren, Zachary and Joanne. Jeannine was a teacher with the Halton Catholic School Board since moving to Ontario with her husband Milton in 1968. She ended her career as a tutor and is remembered fondly by students and colleagues alike. Her passion for bridge was renowned and she was a member of many formal (St. Dominic Bridge Marathon) and informal clubs over the years. Jeannine was a lifelong learner and continued to develop her bridge game along with her many friends. Sharon will miss "puzzle mornings" on Sundays (cross- words on the phone) and Lorraine will miss manicures and lunch at El Spero, mum's favourite restaurant. The family wishes to thank Acclaim Health, the staff of O.T.M.H., and especially Dr. Viqar Khan for their extraor- dinary care. Pre-deceased by his parents Anthony Hink and Gladys Hink (Foster). He is survived by his wife Beverley Douglas, daughter Alexa Hink, sister Linda Hink (Stephen Ami), brother Daniel Hink (Rebecca Dixon), many nieces, nephews and cousins, including Grant and Heather Hink to whom he was especially close. Growing up in Dorval, QC, Doug graduated from McGill in 1972 with a BSc in Chemical Engineering. He then joined Atomic Energy of Canada (AECL) where he successfully held many senior positions in engineering and project management, including Assistant to the President and later being assigned to Washington DC as President of AECL Technologies.Technologies.T He moved on to assuming many other executive positions including VP of Strategic Development. Doug later joined SNC as the VP of Business Development, and started his own consulting firm in 2003, in nuclear services. He was a loving and caring husband and father,father,father who relished the achievements of his wife and daughter,daughter,daughter who followed in his footsteps to become an engineer.engineer.engineer He had a keen zest for life and enjoyed sharing all that the world had to offer with his loved ones. Doug shared a passion for the great outdoors golfing, camping, hiking and birding with Beverley Doug was well-read with a profound interest in world history and politics; he will be missed by all for his insightful input and intellectual engagements. Big hearted, he had a special talent to get along with everyone that he met. Doug was very active in his community through PROBUS, and his beloved McGill network. He was so proud of all of his friends and their many accomplishments.
