Despite losing $24.7 million in revenue and other costs to the CO- VID-19 pandemic in 2020, the Town of Oakville appears to have essentially broken even due to a combination of government fund- ing and its own efforts to find sav- ings. In a report brought to town council in late February, town staff noted that during 2020, the town lost millions of dollars in revenue as a result of the pandem- ic and its related restrictions.
