Halton Healthcare has sus- pended in-person visiting at its hospital until further notice. In a statement posted on its website Halton Healthcare noted that effective Friday (Apr. 9) pa- tients at Oakville Trafalgar Me- morial Hospital, Milton District Hospital and Georgetown Hospi- tal will not be able to have visitors. "In light of the provincial gov- ernment's stay-at-home order and increasing COVID-19 cases in our community, we have made the dif- ficult decision to suspend general visiting until further notice," the statement reads. "We know that this will be chal- lenging, but we must do every- thing we can to protect the safety of our patients and community." HHS went on to state that ex- ceptions for visiting may be con- sidered on a case-by-case basis. The health-care provider said they are trying to limit the num- ber of people in their hospitals as part of their efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
