The May Court Club of Oak- ville is accepting applications from Oakville high school stu- dents for its annual scholarships. The deadline for applications, which can be found at www.a- wardshub.ca, is May 15. The scholarship can be applied to post-secondary education pro- grams. Successful applicants will be notified in June. To be eligible, students must have a more than average finan- cial need and demonstrate a com- mitment to the community at large or the school environment through volunteerism. Students from all Oakville high schools are eligible. Because financial needs do not disappear after the first year, past recipients are also eli- gible to apply throughout their entire post-secondary education. The club held its Hopes and Dreams Fundraiser in the fall of 2020, raising $123,700 for this year's scholarship program. Over the years, the May Court Club has granted more than $1.2 million in scholarships. The May Court Club of Oak- ville is a volunteer women's orga- nization that provides services and funds to the community, with a focus on women, children and seniors.
