Det. Sgt. Ron Wright said in March po- lice received tips about alleged drug traf- ficking that was taking place throughout the Town of Oakville and began an investi- gation. Police said in a news release the investi- gation centred on someone "trafficking drugs throughout the town." On April 22 police executed a search warrant at a residence in the Third Line and Upper Middle Road area and made one arrest. During the raid police reportedly seized: • a loaded .45-calibre handgun • 14 rounds of .45-calibre ammunition • 19.1 grams of fentanyl • 22.1 grams of cocaine • 20.9 grams of crack cocaine • 0.6 grams of Oxycodone • 0.7 grams of LSD • 122.6 grams of psilocybin • 335.4 grams of cannabis marijuana • 66 packages of cannabis edibles • 283 cannabis vape pens. Wright said the cocaine, crack cocaine and fentanyl alone have a street value of nearly $8,000. An Oakville youth faces 13 charges in- cluding: four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, trafficking a con- trolled substance, possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unautho- rized possession of a firearm, careless stor- age of a firearm and possession of a re- stricted firearm with ammunition. The youth is being held in custody pend- ing a bail hearing. The charges have not been proven in court.
