"This program allows us to explore our community's valuable Indigenous history and heritage through a lens that acknowledges the spirit and calls to action of recon- ciliation," said Mayor Rob Burton. Here's what you need to know about the program: • It is a free, eight-week virtual program on Zoom, beginning Thursday, April 29 at 6 p.m. • Planting our Seeds will be led by local urban Indige- nous leaders Jody Harbour and Sherry Saevil, founders of Grandmothers Voice, each with 25 years of experi- ence in studying, volunteer- ing and working.
