JONES, Roy ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Roy Jones passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on March 5, 2022. A man focused on family, the devoted husband of Jeanne (nee Dawson), his partner in marriage and mischief for 63 loving years and the proud father of two adoring daughters, Tracy (Bob Bernier) and Kaz (Phil Johnston). Roy's 5 grandchildren, Gabrielle, Benjamin, Anny, Maksym and Jack, never told a story that he didn't want to hear. They were his greatest pride and joy and his favourite entertainment - he never missed a game, performance or achievement. Born to a family of 13 children, Roy moved to Canada over 50 years ago from England. In addition to travelling to glamorous locales across the globe with Jeanne, Roy had a long career in the oil industry and trained as a firefighter. Roy was a founding member of the White Heather Club, an avid golfer, soccer and softball player and a life-long Man City supporter who lived to bask in the glory of the 2012 Premier League title. A part-time pantomime player, an undisputed champion of family darts tournaments and a builder of treehouses, Roy loved his family with all his heart as they treasured him with all of theirs. A strong and quiet man of few words with an inexhaustible heart of gold. Thank you to Dr Annis, Dr Slinger, the Mississauga Halton LHIN and the awe- inspiring staff at Post Inn Village, for their great care and support. A celebration of Roy's life will be held for family in the coming weeks. In lieu of flowers, donations to Pattys Place Dementia Care Centre would be appreciated by Roy and his family. Online condolences may be left at oakviewfuneral.ca. LAMOUREUX, Lionel (Lee) Joseph ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Born August 18, 1937, Lee passed away March 2, 2022 with his wife Patricia, daughter Carey (Peter) and son Daren (Tara), by his side. Lee is pre- deceased by his mother Eva, brother Francis, and his and Pat's darling daughter, Kimmy. Lee was a loving husband of 55 years to Pat and he enjoyed those years first building their life in Montreal and Brampton raising their family and spending lots of time on Lake Ontario chartering his boat and catching salmon. Later as they settled in Oakville, Lee loved their travels to sunny destinations but not necessarily the sand... Happy to cruise or vacation in Barbados, Florida, Dominican, and other places enjoying a dip in the pool but, as his family fondly remembers, often walking the beach in socks and sandals. Lee and Pat had a strong, loving and fun filled marriage of 55 years this June. He loved her dearly. Lee was known in his Glen Abbey neighbourhood as the fixer of cars and the dog treat man. He walked his crescent every day and all dogs knew Lee and stopped for him and his treats. Lee held a life long love of cars, once owning his own garage and later working on anyone's vehicles as a favour to them. He was always generous with his time and skill. Lee also had a 30 year career at Air Canada and for the last 14 years of it, happily carpooled with Pat when they both worked there. Lee's greatest pride and joy in his senior years were his grandchildren, Hayden, Oz, Vance, and Colter. His love of them always showed on his face as he lit up with a hug from them and he wore his "Papa's Boys" t-shirt proudly as much as he could. Lee came from a hard childhood. His legacy would be justified as one of bitterness but instead he was a man of love, kindness, generosity and humour. He was a husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, brother-in -law, uncle, and friend we were all proud to call ours. He will always be loved and forever missed by us all. In lieu of flowers, we ask donations be made to The Oakville Humane Society or CNIB Guide Dogs Canada to honour Lee's life long love of animals.
