Stress Safety Factor Within the next week or so scores of Oakville and district youngsters will be disporting themselves in the cool waters of the lake, and at the same time receiving competent instructions in the art of swimming and wa- ter safety. Joan Coppin, a high- ly aialified Toronto swimming teacher, has been engaged for the season by the Swimming and Safety Committee of Oakville and District Red Cross Society, Miss Sally Davis, chairman of the com- mittee, informed the Journal Miss Coppin will have about half a dozen local girls as volunteer assistants, who are receiving a course of training in swimming pools kindly loaned by local resi dents. The water safety program starts next week at Dan Wilson's beach, between Oakville and Bronte, where last year's prog- ram was carried out. More than a hundred children have already registered for the classes, Miss Davis said.
