C The retiring treasurer, 'Mrs. Cullingham, pre- sented the report for 1950, an In- crease ovér last year. The secre- tary read a letter from Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Albertson thanking members of the W.M.S. for the remembrance sent them on the occasion of their diamond wed- ding on Christmas day. The retir- ing treasurer of the W.A., Mrs. R. Fish, gave a very satisfactory report of W.A. finances. On re- port of Mrs. Turner of help for a family in the district who had recently been burned out, the W. A. voted $25.00 to the fund. Mrs. E. A. Fish, retiring W. A. presi- dent, announced that the annual Halton Presbytery rally would be held in April. raw The annual congregational meeting of Wesley Church was held on Tuesday evening, Jan. 16 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Fish, wit the minister Rev. J. W. Stewart, in the chair. The minutes of last year's meeting were read by the secretary-treas- {irer, Mr. Fred Near. Financial re- ports were received from the or- ganizations in the church. WMS, Mrs. H. Cullingham; WA, Mrs. Roy Fish; Sunday School, Ken- neth Fish. The report of the M and M Fund was given by Mr. Arnold Fish and Mr. Near pre- sented the treasurer's report, all of which were very satisfactory. Mr. W. Sinden and Mr. Near were added to the board of el ders. The minister announced 13 had been recelved into member ship and there had been one death. There were 54 members, 12 of whom were nonresident. The average attendance for 37 ordinary church services was 36. Votes of thanks were tendered variotis officers in the church, in- cluding the organist and choir leader and caretaker. The meeting closed with the benediction by Mr. Stewart. Sandwiches, cake and coffee were served by the ladies. Topis of discussion was "What can marketing boards accomplish?" Euchre was played, Mrs. Cliff May winning the ladies' prize and Calvin Bentley the men's prize.
