Beloved mother to Samantha and Kristen (Brandon) and loving grandma to Riley. Loved stepmother of Justin (Kate) and Kristen (Allan) Marshall and grandma to Ethan. Sharron will be missed sorely by her parents, John and Nona Connell of Oakville, her brother Dan (Catherine) of Peterborough, and sister Maria (David) McGuckin of Georgetown as well as aunts, cousins and many nieces and nephews. She will be remembered dearly by her long-time neighbors and friends in Mississauga, as well as new friends made at Millcreek. Sharron is pre-deceased by her husband, John. Sharron was born on May 19th,1959 in Windsor, and at a young age, her family moved to Oakville. Sharron attended Blakelock High School where her favorite subjects were anything related to Art and Design. She was a member of the cheer squad, and goaltender for the field hockey team. Growing up she loved when the family spent summers in Port Elgin and enjoyed English riding when she could. Sharron grew to become an accomplished gardener and was a very spirited Manager for the MGHL, all while enjoying a successful career in graphics with Sonoco Canada Corporation. She loved to spend quality time with her family and friends. Road trips to the cottage, to family in Sarnia, to Lake Huron, or simply a visit in her parents' back yard, she savored her time with her loved ones. Her memory will live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew and loved her. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. She was 75 years old. Predeceased by parents Hayward and Georgie Peckham (née Oland) of Sydney, Nova Scotia, husband John Edward (Jef) Feeney of Oakville, and sister Jane Campbell of Newmarket. Lyn is survived by her loving husband Richard and devoted children, Mark of Waterloo, Erin (Adam) and Tara of Toronto, stepsons Robert (Katrina) of Mississauga, and Michael (Georgia) of Nassau, Bahamas, and niece Sandy MacKenzie of Newmarket. Loving Nana to Jeff and Abby Feeney of Waterloo, and Olivia and Kylie Simms of Nassau. Lyn met her husband Richard in 2002 and there was an immediate bond as two Maritimers living many years in the big city. Lyn was passionate about her beloved Siamese cats, golden retrievers and horses. Her favourite activity was to spend a day at the barn grooming and riding her horse, Sweetie, and going for a long hack along with her beloved golden, CJ. Lyn made and kept friends wherever her life journey took her. She always had a wonderful smile and greeting for all who knew her and took a great interest in the lives of others. Please sign the Tribute Wall at www.koprivataylor.com THOMPSON, Jane April 17, 1958 - June 13, 2022 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Jane Elizabeth Thompson (nee Becker) passed away at the age of 64 on June 13, 2022, following a battle with cancer. Jane is pre-deceased by her husband Grant Thompson (2021) with whom she had two beloved children, Alexander, and Dana. She is also pre- deceased by her parents Helen and Wally Becker and sister Beverly (Bowman). She will be forever cherished by sisters Frances (Becker) and Mary Lynn (Becker) along with brother-in-law Frank Bowman and his wife Nancy and sister- in-law Sue Nelson. She will be missed by nieces and nephews Christopher, Katie, Carla, Kirk, Emilee, and Allie. She was a long-time resident of Oakville and enjoyed several wonderful years of teaching at Sunningdale Public School. She taught students of many ages and enjoyed years as the school's librarian, sharing her love of reading with students and staff. Jane grew up in New Hamburg, Ontario and graduated from Waterloo- Oxford District Secondary School in Baden. She received undergraduate degrees from the University of Guelph and the University of Waterloo. She earned her teacher's diploma from York University. An avid reader and a passionate gardener with an unparalleled green thumb, Jane enjoyed exploring the shores of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay with friends and family on foot or by kayak. Her Christmas dinners and cookie- baking marathons were second to none. Jane was a loyal and caring friend, mother, sister, aunt, neighbor, and colleague, generous with her time and compassion. A service will be held on Sunday, June 26 at 3:00 pm at Oakview Funeral Home in Oakville for friends and family. Masks will be required to attend.
