Letter From the Front 107th Canadians, Feb. 23, 1917. Mr. H, B. Sawle, Caledonia: Last week four large boxes were sent here filled with Xmas stockings for the boys of the 114th Battalion. The boxes were sent from the Canadian War Contingent Association, London, Eng., and as there are nearly 200 of the 114th boys here there was just enough for one stocking each. On some of the stockings were cards marked Caledonia, so I imagine they are gifts from Haldimand. We wish to thank the good people at home, through your paper, if you will, for the Xmas stockings which were a little delayed, perhaps, but, nevertheless, very welcome and very much appreciated. We are only sorry not to know more definitely those who were so good to us, but we hope they will learn of the safe arrival of the parcels and of our gratitude for their kindness. Very sincerely yours, MILTON MARTIN, 107th Canadians, Army Postoffice, London East.
